THE PORT LOGAN INN

Port Logan Inn is the pub and hotel in the tiny village of Port Logan. Port Logan lies south of Stranraer and Portpatrick, in an area of Wigtownshire known as the South Rhins, close to Drummore and the Mull of Galloway. We offer real ales (one or two guest ales per week), bar lunches, evening meals and bed and breakfast. Children are welcome.

We are open all year, from 12 noon, 7 days a week. Food is served daily - lunch from 12 to 3 pm; dinner from 6 to 8.30 pm. We have a large car park opposite the inn, next to the outside seating area. We are "dog friendly" although we do ask that dogs are not brought into the bar eating area during mealtimes.

The inn has a comfortable bar with a wood fire in cooler months. Outside, you can eat or drink at tables on decking or at tables on the other side of the road, overlooking Port Logan Bay.

Port Logan Bay looks across to Ireland. The sunsets here are spectacular. If you have watched the BBC's "2000 Acres of Sky" you will recognise the sunsets, the village - and one or two of our residents!

Port Logan is popular with fishermen and other boat owners as it has a slipway in the harbour. It is also a good base for walkers or birdwatchers. The Logan Botanic Gardens are approximately one mile from the inn.

The inn offers an excellent opportunity for a relaxing break in a beautiful corner of Dumfries and Galloway, in south-west Scotland. It also offers a quiet bed and breakfast stop for those travelling by ferry through Stranraer.
